The mistake is made...and ignored.

In the end of September, Singapore government raised the tariff of electricity for 21% based on the projection that oil price would reach USD150 in 3 months. Now 1 1/2 month has passed. The petrol price dropped from then USD100 to today's USD57.

Singapore is always acting fast, even so fast that it acts for something has not yet happened. But for something has already happened (petrol price has dropped), nothing is done.

Good job!

Economy is bad. All clowns coming to town!

This uncle is most likely one of the 900 staff retrenched by DBS recently. Out of desperation, he tried to disguise himself as a Malay woman and to rob a UOB bank with a remote bomb, as he claimed.

I think he must learn from the real robbers in Malaysia, where heavy firearms are used. If he really wants to rob the bank, rob like a man lar! How come disgused himself as a woman??? Shame on you!!

Pregnant woman wants $1,600 2 months job?

Just watched a documentary from mediaCorp about a young Singaporean couple who are facing financial problem. They bought a 4-rooms flat, a car and hired a maid. Before the woman was pregnant and out of job, the combined income of the couple was 3k+.

The woman cried in front of TV, saying that no one wanted to hire her because of her pregnancy. Then it is very miserable that they have to hire the maid while they are now only depending on her husband's 2K+ (before CPF deduction) salary to maintain the car (1K+ a month) and the maid.

Then the TV host arranged a job interview for the woman in a travel agency. Knowing that she is to deliver in 2 months time, the employer offers $800 a month job to the woman. But the woman rejected the job because she wanted a $1,600 pay-check.

Is this really a reality documentary or a comedy? Couldn't stop laughing when watching this show. Thanks for the good work, MediaCorp!
